Photo from Pumphouse in Copenhagen, Denmark. Open up for INVOCATOR. I used a horrible bass, a Pro II, mainly because my Ibanez case wouldn't fit in cars trunk!
I can't remember where and when this photo's from. Maybe LA beach. I'm picking on my favorite bass, an Artist 2526B anno 1976. A great sounding 4-stringer.
M.O.S was a joke band, a funny cover act. Our signum was the superman costumes. Bass is customized Ibanez.
Last gig with the remains of HYSTE'RIAH. The band exited at the wrong time by the right reason. I hated this Aria (dead spots) but live balance was horrible in my fast fingered OB3. For (today) unknown reason I used this piece when recording "Snakeworld - LP/CD". Lack of time and room in studio forced me to plug directly into mixer. Shit in - shit out! Lesson learned!
Promo photo for MySpace (if you remember that site you are an old fart). Posing with my main bass and minor rig. I miss that ACOUSTIC model 220. Best amp I ever used! Unfortunately it was never used for studio recording back then due to the vibrations caused by those beefy 15".
Early photo shot for interview in unknown mag. Judging from the weight this battle axe of the 80th was made of steel! Neck and shoulder pain was its name!
Check it out...a whammy bar! Actually a good piece of casting...great for dives and low thunder with MM-1 box...'til a bolt broke! Replacement parts were hard to find so remains rest in box with other goodies. A chorus box was also part of the gear when picking on high frets. Photo from John's, LA.
Early photo from D.T.A.L with borrowed bass. Open up for main act at first gig. When recording "Time To Die - 7"EP" I used a Les Paul and Peavy Pacer guitar amp with dist and bass full on while treble were set to none. Basslines were hammered down as full chords. "Time To Die" bass sound secret is now revealed! That Les Paul later went to hell together with the cute little Peavy amp several decades ago.
One of few live photos from HYSTE'RIAH! First gig at Harleqin, LA. Favorite 4-stringer in use via MM-1 box into Traynor 100W amp and two custom 2X12" cabs. This setup was used in studio when recording "Attempt The Life" (see HYSTE'RIAH LP in "stuff"). Later D.T.A.L's bass player burned top cab when his amp shortcut. You still owe me, dude! Traynor amp was later K.I.A at another mission while remaining cab was cleaned out from storage recently.
